Job Description
Peak Rentals' Operations Manager will oversee all business unit field operations, being involved with customer relations regarding equipment specifications, location setup, field procedures and reporting procedures. Ensure quality control and safe operations during all aspects of the operation.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
  • Follow all safety measures to complete jobs safely at all times.
  • Oversees the execution, direction and coordination of all logistical and support services within the organization to deliver on customer requirements.
  • Organizes schedules & routes, ensuring that vehicles & equipment are safe, and meet legal requirements, as well as making sure that operators are aware of their duties.
  • Work closely with all sales professionals and sales managers to ensure proper alignment with their needs and goals.
  • Manage respective team and their deployment. Develop team to full potential, e.g. evaluation, training, coaching, appraising, talent identification, etc. Build and motivate a strong team that delivers value and helps meet objectives.
  • Creates and manages operational budgets and submits requests for capital expenditures.
  • Prepares periodic reports and regularly updates DOT, safety compliance, operational spend and active pursuits to optimize expenses.
  • Manages daily Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) on all direct reports. Will participate in random DVIR gate check audits.
  • Liaison between operations and real estate/legal.
  • Develop a Preventative Maintenance Plan for all assets; fixed and rolling and ensure effective implementation of PMP.
  • Implement action plans to minimize waste generation.
  • Manages the scheduling of inventory audits.
  • Co-operates with other functional departments, business partners, contractors and customers to ensure optimal company performance.
  • Responsible for meaningful and regular contributions to the maintenance of the organizations business management systems (these being but not limited to safety, quality, environment, administration, IT etc.) and for ensuring continuing compliance with relevant requirements (company, customer, government, legal etc.).
  • Identify actual and potential non-conformances, rectify in areas of authority and record as required.
  • A willingness to work overtime and be on call on an occasional basis is required.
  • Special duties as assigned.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office.
  • 5 - 10 years of related work experience.
  • Strong problem solving ability with customers, personnel, operations, and containment solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, printers and gauges.
  • Experience with handling products in various types of packages including bulk, drums, Porta-Feeds and mini/micro-feed units.
  • Experience performing warehouse duties, which include preventative maintenance duties, inventory and ordering of chemicals, receiving incoming shipments, organizing warehouse for safe and efficient chemical storage, operation of customized chemical manufacturing equipment and the upkeep of warehouse grounds.

Physical Demands and Exposures
  • This position works inside a climate-controlled environment, with frequent trips to locations in outside weather conditions. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
  • Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, Overtime when required.
  • Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
