Job Description:
The Distribution and Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse and distribution operations
supporting both external customer fulfillment and internal manufacturing for ABU.
The role oversees a team responsible for:
1. Customer Order Fulfillment
• Picking, packing, and shipping finished goods and resale products to customers.
• Ensuring accurate, compliant, and on-time delivery of customer orders.
2. Material Receiving, Warehousing and Manufacturing Support
• Receiving, warehousing, and inventory management of raw materials, excipients, packaging
components, and resale items.
• Fulfilling internal component and material orders that support manufacturing operations.
The Distribution and Warehouse Manager drives inventory accuracy, regulatory compliance, customer
satisfaction, safety performance, operational efficiency, and employee development while maintaining
compliance with cGMP and company quality standards.
KEY Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Responsibilities - The responsibilities may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics. 1. Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership and development of ABU Distribution and Warehousing team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration within team and Ops/CS
partners.
- Ensure effective communication, coordination, and collaboration between ABU and CMO Warehousing
teams.
- Mentor and develop specialists and technicians to build a high-performing, engaged, and compliant workforce.
- Support staffing, training, cross-training, succession management, and performance management of WH team.
2. Distribution Operations / Customer Order Execution
- Lead daily operations associated with customer order fulfillment.
- Ensure customer orders are accurately picked, packed, verified, and shipped according to customer
requirements.
- Establish priorities to meet daily shipping schedules and customer requested delivery dates.
- Coordinate transportation providers and freight partners to ensure on-time shipment performance.
- Monitor order fulfillment metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with domestic and international shipping requirements.
- Support resolution of shipping discrepancies, customer complaints, and transportation issues.
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Sales teams to manage customer priorities and shipment commitments.
- Achieve service level objectives for: On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) shipments, Order accuracy, Shipping cycle time
3. Receiving Operations
- Manage the receipt of: Raw materials, Excipients, Packaging components, Resale, Consumables and supplies. - Ensure materials are received, identified, inspected, and transacted accurately within ERP systems.
- Coordinate receipt and disposition activities with Quality Assurance and Procurement.
4. Warehouse Management
- Maintain effective warehouse storage and inventory control systems.
- Ensure proper segregation of quarantined and released Inventory, rejected materials, returned materials
- Optimize warehouse space utilization and material flow.
- Ensure cGMP-compliant practices and storage conditions are maintained.
5. Manufacturing Material Fulfillment
- Lead the fulfillment of internal warehouse orders supporting manufacturing operations.
- Ensure timely picking, staging, kitting, and issuance of materials required for production.
- Partner with Production Planning and Manufacturing leadership to support production schedules.
- Establish service levels for manufacturing material delivery and responsiveness.
6. Inventory Control
- Maintain high inventory accuracy across all warehouse-managed inventory.
- Lead cycle count programs and inventory reconciliation activities including investigation and corrective actions. - Support annual physical inventory activities.
- Ensure accurate inventory transactions are completed in a timely manner.
7. Quality and Regulatory Compliance - Ensure compliance with: FDA regulations, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP), Company quality systems
- Support audits, inspections, and regulatory assessments.
- Lead investigations related to warehouse and distribution deviations.
- Support CAPA and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain inspection readiness at all times.
Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain experience. • 3+ years of experience leading warehouse or distribution teams.
• Experience supporting material fulfilment processes • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Preferred:
• Preferred certification in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, TPM, TQM
• 5 to 10 year(s) related experience in lieu of degree
• Leadership / Management Experience
• Inventory management and Warehouse Operations
• Experience within a cGMP compliant role
• Cross-functional leadership and collaboration experience
• Customer Service / customer management experience.
Working Environment:
• Work is performed in warehouse, shipping, receiving, and office environments.
• Regular exposure to warehouse conditions, including forklift traffic, pallet movement, material handling equipment, and loading dock operations.
• Walking throughout warehouse, storage, and manufacturing support areas.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift materials up to 25 pounds; lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance and in accordance with safety procedures.
• May be required to operate or become certified on material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and industrial trucks.
• Exposure to varying temperature-controlled storage environments, including ambient, refrigerated, and controlled warehouse areas.

Shift: Weekday Days 7:30-4 or 7-3:30
