Job description

Leidos is seeking a Joint Theater Distribution Center (JTDC) Transportation and Distribution Operations Manager, Indo-Pacific Logistics Integration in Santa Rita, Guam. This position serves as the Team Lead for Transportation, Staging, and Distribution, overseeing cargo movement, staging, vehicle dispatch, passenger transportation, and specialized distribution activities.

This challenging and rewarding position involves leading JTDC cargo movement, movement control, staging, marshaling, vehicle dispatch, passenger transportation, and specialized distribution operations while maintaining transportation visibility and responsiveness to mission priorities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage inbound and outbound cargo transportation and distribution activities.
  • Establish and control staging and marshaling areas.
  • Sequence cargo movements based on mission priorities.
  • Coordinate vehicle and driver scheduling, dispatch, and availability.
  • Manage routes, pickup points, delivery locations, ports, airfields, warehouses, and customer movements.
  • Maintain cargo and shipment visibility.
  • Coordinate special lifts, rigging, and specialized transportation requirements.
  • Respond to priority changes, emergency movements, and rerouting requirements.
  • Identify transportation bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
  • Integrate transportation requirements with warehouse, maintenance, and mission-operations personnel.
  • Supervise three subordinate functional or sub-team leads.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or Master's degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Relevant experience in transportation, deployment, distribution, movement control, or logistics operations.
  • Experience supervising transportation or logistics personnel.
  • Experience coordinating cargo movement and staging activities.
  • Ability to plan and execute concurrent transportation requirements involving multiple customers and priorities.
  • Top Secret-SCI clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior DoD deployment and distribution or movement-control experience.
  • Experience supporting military ports, aerial ports, airfields, or distribution centers.
  • Strong understanding of DoD transportation and deployment processes.
  • Experience in overseas or forward-deployed logistics operations.
  • Transportation, deployment/distribution, or logistics certification.
