The Medical Education Business Manager for the Springfield campus provides dedicated, on-site leadership and coordination for the Springfield medical education campus, ensuring that administrative, operational, and strategic functions are effectively aligned to support learners, faculty, and programs. The role centralizes oversight of key business functions-including human resources, finance, space, contractual functions, and operations-to promote consistency, compliance, and efficiency while advancing the School of Medicine's educational mission and accreditation requirements at the Springfield site. The role ensures compliance, efficiency, and coordination of administrative operations within the Springfield campus while aligning with School of Medicine priorities and LCME accreditation standards.
Human Resources 30%
• Oversees recruitment, classification, evaluation, and development of professional and support staff to ensure operational alignment and equity across campuses.
• Provides strategic guidance on performance management, workload distribution, and remote work eligibility in compliance with university HR policies.
• Cultivates a positive and accountable workplace culture through transparent communication, recognition, and staff engagement initiatives.
Finance 30%
• Manages operating budget including salary allocations and departmental expenditures.
• Develops financial models to support leadership decision-making for future planning.
• Ensures fiscal accountability through forecasting, internal controls, and coordination with university finance offices and auditors.
Space Planning & Operations 15%

Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Niche Professional Interests: Progressive professional experience in administrative and operational roles with significant responsibility for the day-to-day oversight of human resources and financial operations, including staff supervision, recruitment, employee relations, budgeting, expenditure monitoring, financial reporting, and policy implementation. Demonstrated ability to manage complex administrative functions, support strategic initiatives, and apply strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills to achieve organizational goals in higher education, healthcare, or similar professional environments.
Anticipated Hiring Range
Salary Range: $61,000 - $85,000 annually
