Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?
At Travelers, we're focused on expanding the application of data and analytics beyond managing risk, helping businesses increase their productivity and efficiency and enabling great experiences for our customers and agents. The Business Insights Delivery team aims to enable the business by building solutions that turn data in to insights with well-designed data assets and effective, compelling dashboards and visualizations.
As the Sr Manager, Business Insights Delivery, you will work to identify solutions and come to a consensus on the best way to achieve it by ensuring the team understands the tools and technologies available to deliver on business insights most efficiently. You will coordinate with business partners to prioritize, maintain progress, and timely delivery, while ensuring the execution strategy ties back to the long-term roadmap.What Will You Do?
  • Drive and contribute to the building, execution and adoption of insights delivery solution among business partners, including reporting, guided analytics, self-service, embedded, augmented, and data as a service capability. Contribute thought leadership to semantic layer and material view design and builds.
  • Accountable for the selection of solution design options which includes the coordination with developers and architecture to map and present solutions, communicate timelines, and impact to business value and information delivery.
  • Collect detailed requirements and regularly updates business partners on development progress and expectations.
  • Partner with the Architecture team to assess and understand the patterns necessary to achieve the best outcome.
  • Review and provide feedback to developers on solution options and design execution to inform proposals and how they fit into the broader delivery strategy.
  • Provide feedback on the design of the broader insights portfolio and its ability to address business problems.
  • Review and approve code and insights delivery to production environments.
  • Coach and aid in the skill development of the team.
  • Align solution design to enterprise data management, security, and governance controls.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Experience with Information Design techniques and Tools such as: Cloud, SQL, NoSQL, Python, CI/CD, Data Visualization, Business Intelligence Platforms (Qlik, MSTR, Tableau), and Web Development (HTML, JavaScript, Analytic Libraries), ESRI.

  • Bachelor's degree or four years equivalent experience with business intelligence tools, techniques, manipulation, or related.
