Business Intelligence Analyst - San Diego, CA

Hybrid onsite 3 days/week (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday), Full time M-F 8am-5pm PST

FairSquare has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Business Intelligence Analyst. Reporting to the BI Manager, the Junior Business Intelligence Analyst is data-driven individual with excellent analytical skills. This individual utilizes their analytics experience alongside technical tools to complete analytics projects, providing stakeholders information necessary to make business decisions.

Major Responsibilities:

Respond quickly to inquiries from stakeholders; delivering conclusions with detailed assumptions derived from a clear understanding of the business question

Develops and maintains advanced and dynamic dashboards in Tableau, and other tools, for the business to self-serve

Be open to learning and growing -- Accumulates an understanding of the processes that create data as well as how that data is used by applications and users

Uses data and process knowledge to assist data warehouse development

The ideal candidate will have the desire to assist with telling stories from the data

Communicate effectively and instill confidence in produced deliverables

Ability to manipulate data from multiple sources, developing assumptions where needed, to drive business insights and support strategic development

Develops new and better analytics approaches to solve questions in a creative way

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in business intelligence or relevant degree

Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools

Intermediate knowledge of SQL

Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Outstanding communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues

Demonstrates quick learning and growth potential

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in Finance, Mortgage, Banking
