Job Profile
Job Summary:
Leads and supports system-level activities of a large integrated delivery system. Work product directly impacts information delivered to the Harris Health's Board of Managers and Commissioners Court as well as state and national surveys. Manages complex projects and initiatives across the system, which significantly impact business results, and require a large degree of cross-functional participation/coordination. Primary duties include the effective use of decision support solutions. The position leads and supports the implementation of Finance information systems. This position works in close collaboration with the counterpart BI Manager (IT) supporting many of the same or similar projects and deliverables. In concert with IT, the position provides leadership, on the Finance side, and actively contributes to organizational initiatives in the development of business intelligence (BI) tools. Involved in the design and development of the Harris Health Decision Support Systems and Business Intelligence (BI) systems. Assures data integration between multiple software applications, databases and decision support tools. Supports Harris Health System's quality, outcomes and financial initiatives. Supports and actively participates in system-level Data Management Committee and data governance processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education/Specialized Training/Licensure: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or Healthcare Administration. Master's degree in aligned disciplines preferred (MBA, MS, MHA, MPA)
2. Work Experience (Years and Area): 7 years of experience in healthcare informatics, decision support, financial and clinical analysis
3. Management Experience (Years and Area): 2 years management experience or equivalent
4. Systems: Allscripts Enterprise Analyst and Decision Support Suite, PeopleSoft, Trendstar (McKesson), EMR/Epic, Clarity, SAP Business Objects (Business Intelligence), Oracle SQL
