Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Location: Lenexa, KS

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Accounting, Operations, and other stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting needs and deliver accurate, actionable business intelligence solutions.
  • Gather, analyze, and document reporting and analytical requirements through research, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration.
  • Translate complex internal and external business intelligence requests into high-quality analytical products using credible data sources.
  • Design, develop, and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, SSRS, and Excel.
  • Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract, transform, and analyze financial, claims, enrollment, capitation, and utilization data.
  • Analyze datasets to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities related to budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial performance.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues and automate reporting processes to improve workflows and self-service analytics.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of reports, data sources, business logic, and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a data-focused role leveraging data for business decisions.
  • At least 4 years’ experience working with SQL, with a preference for advanced skills and SQL Server.
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, Excel, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with SSAS and business intelligence concepts is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data trends and patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention to detail skills, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Ability to translate business questions into effective data solutions.
  • Strong SQL skills, including writing and optimizing complex queries (subqueries, window functions, temp tables, CTEs, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects within tight deadlines.
