  • This position is designed and intended to be performed on-site in Muscatine, IA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the global consumer insights strategy, establishing research priorities, methodologies, and analytical approaches that support business objectives and address critical growth opportunities.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Brand Management, Marketing, Innovation, and other cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, influence decisions, and support brand, portfolio, and market growth strategies.
  • Monitor and interpret consumer, competitive, category, and cultural trends to identify emerging opportunities, potential risks, and strategic implications for the business.
  • Integrate insights from primary research, syndicated data, social listening, sales performance, and other market intelligence sources to solve complex business challenges and guide investment decisions.
  • Translate complex consumer and market intelligence into clear, executive-level recommendations that inform strategic planning, resource allocation, and business priorities.
  • Provide strategic leadership throughout the innovation lifecycle, including opportunity identification, concept evaluation, product and marketing development, testing strategies, and post-launch performance assessment.
  • Lead and optimize relationships with external research agencies and consulting partners, including vendor selection, project prioritization, scope management, and evaluation of deliverables to maximize return on investment.
  • Champion a consumer-centric culture by ensuring customer insights are embedded across business decisions, innovation initiatives, and long-term growth strategies.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of global experience in consumer insights, market research, or related roles within the CPG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer research methodologies, including developing research strategies aligned to business objectives, designing qualitative and quantitative studies, creating effective research instruments, and selecting the appropriate tools, platforms, and frameworks to generate actionable consumer insights.
  • Core technical skill set in research methodology expertise, statistical methods and analysis, survey design, and data visualizations. Familiarity with tools such as Nielsen IQ, Circana, Numerator a plus.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Curious, emphatic, proactive, and adaptable mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Highly analytical with a passion for understanding consumer behavior.
