Job Description:
At Regions, the Corporate Banking Strategic Partner works across the Corporate Banking Group or a Corporate Banking business segment, providing support with strategy development, defining end-to-end strategic roadmaps, translating business architecture needs, and establishing initiatives to enable continuous improvement, business innovation and optimization, and innovative client-associate experiences.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Acts as a consultant regarding various business needs and requirements
  • Supports the development of transformational strategies and translates strategies into initiatives and relevant business capabilities
  • Identifies business unit issues, assisting in root cause analysis, and identifying solutions that clearly articulate strategic opportunities for continuous improvement, on a proactive basis
  • Supports strategic projects from inception to execution, formulating solutions to key business issues and opportunities
  • Pursues new opportunities for business innovation and optimization by conducting extensive customer and market research, monitoring industry and economic trends, conducting competitive analysis, and recognizing potential enhancements - performing root cause analysis to recommend, prioritize, and facilitate the appropriate corresponding strategy
  • Builds and executes both technical and non-technical initiatives, advanced execution plans, and growth strategies
  • Leads the business group communication strategy around changes that impact the business
  • Owns key deliverables that communicate segment performance for continuous improvement and management reporting
  • Develops qualitative and quantitative business unit and market research, including client profiling and segmentation, performance reporting, and industry and economic overviews
  • Supports Corporate Banking Group business units through the annual strategic planning process including organizing meetings, developing meeting materials, running material components of the meetings, providing insights, co-authorship of the final strategic plan, and strategic plan progress reporting
  • Evaluates processes, procedures, and people to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • May contribute to workflow or process change and redesign, and risk and control identification
  • May supervise the day-to-day work of other professional level associates

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and eight (8) years of experience in business analysis, project or change management, or other related business unit experience

  • Experience within corporate banking, commercial banking, treasury management, credit products, capital markets, or other financial services businesses
  • Proven ability to develop business cases, financial analyses, and executive recommendations to support strategic decision-making
  • Experience leading process improvement, operating model, automation, AI, or continuous improvement initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders through expert executive-level communication and presentations

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
