Role Description

As an A&D Business Development Manager, you will play a vital role in driving specifications and expanding business opportunities. Your responsibilities will include building relationships with architects, designers, and specification professionals, while educating the A&D community on product offerings through presentations, CEU programs, in-person trainings, and ongoing support. This role also focuses on driving product specifications on projects and building long-term brand awareness.


Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, specifiers, and design firms within the assigned territory.

  • Travel regularly to architectural and design firms for meetings, presentations, trainings, and project support.

  • Conduct in-person and virtual CEU presentations and product training sessions.

  • Help develop new CEU courses and educational presentation content for the A&D community.

  • Educate the A&D community on product lines, applications, and solutions.

  • Assist architects and designers with product specifications, layouts, and technical product information.

  • Collaborate with dealers, sales representatives, and internal teams to support project opportunities.

  • Identify and develop specification opportunities that lead to increased sales and market penetration.

  • Maintain regular activity reporting and CRM updates.


Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in commercial furniture or related A&D sales.

  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills.

  • Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with architects, designers, and end users.

  • Knowledge of commercial furniture specifications and the design process preferred.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
