The Business Development Lead manages the opportunity from sales pursuit to close using deep sales process and service offering expertise. They will have existing relationships and develop new relationships with key buyers and decision-makers at new and/or existing clients: protect and grow the business. Act as point of contact for resolution and escalation of all key items in the pursuit process.

In this role, you will:
  • Proactively find and establish new client relationships aligned with Centric's growth strategies.
  • Expand Centric's footprint within existing client accounts by leveraging and nurturing established relationships.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and tools to identify prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to generate leads and support business development initiatives.
  • Attend and participate in industry/technology-related networking, meet-ups, and relationship-building events.
  • Cultivate, manage, and effectively interface with client personnel at all organizational levels as required to build long-term relationships.
  • Participate in developing long-range strategies and nearโ€‘term tactical plans with Centricโ€™s Executive, Marketing, Recruiting, Delivery, and administrative staff that are consistent with Centricโ€™s overall Mission, Vision, and Growth.
  • Qualify sales opportunities by understanding client needs, quantifying potential issues, and determining the clientโ€™s budget and decisionโ€‘making process.
  • Work with Centric Leadership to determine the pursuit team and approach for identified opportunities and oversee the proposal creation process for new opportunities.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and sales management skills to drive successful outcomes.
  • Consult with Centricโ€™s Leadership on Go/No-Go decisions, Deal Reviews, and Pricing Strategies.
  • Aggressively close business and securely sign contracts to meet or exceed annual individual sales goals.
  • Collaborate with service offering leads, industry vertical leads, and other team members to provide a holistic and cohesive selling message and approach.
Who You Are:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in consultative sales roles, selling project-based IT and business consulting services as well as highโ€‘end staff augmentation. Experience selling Microsoft solutions is a plus.
  • Existing book of business of Director and Cโ€‘Level Customer Relationships in the Boston/New England area (i.e., CIO, CTO, CMO, CDO, IT Director, VP of IT, etc.)
  • Demonstrated record of creating and maintaining a strong customer base and ongoing relationships. You have earned the "trusted advisor" moniker because you know how to build deep, strong relationships.
  • Passion for building a thriving business with a high level of initiative, selfโ€‘motivation, and entrepreneurship that helps you break into new accounts and grow them with our team.
  • You know your city (Boston) and love connecting with your network to build your business and give back to your community.
  • Desire to learn and to gain a deep understanding of Centric's service offerings.
  • Prior experience selling consulting project-based services.
  • Ability to deliver compelling presentations in clientโ€‘facing environments.
