This is not just a desk-based sales role. As a Business Development Representative, you'll be responsible for building relationships, generating opportunities, and growing our presence in the Tampa market. While outbound calling is still part of the role, a significant portion of your success will come from networking, referrals, and being active in the local business community.

You'll be expected to represent Brabo externally-participating in groups like Chambers of Commerce, BNI chapters, and other professional organizations, while building connections with business owners, CPAs, and decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a pipeline of new business opportunities
  • Conduct outbound calls and outreach to introduce Brabo Payroll services
  • Actively participate in networking groups such as Chambers of Commerce, BNI, and industry associations
  • Attend local Tampa-area events, meetings, and community functions to build relationships and generate referrals
  • Develop relationships with CPAs, referral partners, and business owners
  • Conduct meetings via Zoom and in person with prospects and partners
  • Clearly communicate our value and identify client needs
  • Maintain accurate records and activity in Salesforce
  • Research potential clients and partners using LinkedIn and other tools
  • Attend team meetings, trainings, and ongoing development sessions
  • Support the onboarding process for new clients as needed
Requirements
  • Comfortable with both outbound outreach and in-person networking
  • Strong communication skills and confidence speaking with business owners and decision-makers
  • Ability to build relationships and generate opportunities through referrals and partnerships
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage follow-up and pipeline activity
  • Proficient with computers, smartphones, and CRM tools (Salesforce experience is a plus)
