Grow One of the Midwest's Largest Commercial Markets

Due to continued growth, a pioneer in the insulated metal panel industry is adding a Business Development Manager to its commercial team.

This is an opportunity to represent an industry-leading portfolio of commercial building products while developing relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, and owners across the Midwest. You'll have the autonomy to grow your territory, influence major commercial projects, and make a lasting impact within a rapidly expanding organization.

What You'll Do
  • Drive architectural specifications for commercial and industrial construction projects.
  • Build relationships with architects, engineers, design-build firms, contractors, and building owners.
  • Conduct Lunch & Learns, AIA/CSI presentations, trade shows, and other educational events.
  • Develop new business opportunities and expand the commercial project pipeline.
  • Manage opportunities from early design through project award using CRM tools.
  • Travel approximately 50% throughout the Midwest, supporting customers across Northern Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Candidates based in Chicago are preferred, though outstanding candidates in the Twin Cities will also be considered.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience selling commercial building products into the architectural and construction market.
  • Proven success influencing architects, engineers, contractors, and owners.
  • Understanding of the architectural specification process.
  • Experience managing opportunities from early design through project award.
  • Strong business development and territory management skills.
  • Self-motivated, coachable, team-oriented, and driven to grow a territory.
  • Hunter mentality with a passion for building long-term customer relationships.

Experience with architectural products, insulated metal panels, commercial roofing, metal building systems, building envelope products, exterior cladding, glazing, curtainwall, or other specification-driven commercial building products is highly preferred.
