Our CompanyKLINGER GPI was established through the 2020 acquisition of West Texas based Gasket & Packings, Inc., and the 2023 merger with KLINGER's gasket manufacturing facility located in Houston, Texas.KLINGER GPI is well positioned to provide industrial facilities with a comprehensive range of fluid sealing products and services, through our 3 physical Texas locations.KLINGER GPI manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of fluid sealing and control products; including static and dynamic sealing products, valves, instrumentations, expansion joints and hoses, fasteners, hydraulic bolt tightening equipment and supplementary MRO products.In addition, our accredited in-house and mobile facilities provide tool calibration and equipment repair services to suit any calibration schedule requirements.Scope of the RoleAs Supply Chain Manager, you’ll deliver strategic impact by ensuring the Supply Chain supports manufacturing and distribution with the right materials at the right time. This role exists to drive outcomes across Purchasing, Procurement, Inventory, and supplier performance while protecting service levels and cost targets.Key responsibilities include:- Lead and shape sourcing strategies, contract negotiations, and vendor performance programs (domestic and international)- Direct demand planning, forecasting, and inventory optimization to reduce risk and working capital- Partner with Operations and cross-functional leaders to align supply plans to production and customer commitments- Establish clear metrics, reporting, and continuous-improvement actions across the supply networkRequired qualifications/skills:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience- 5+ years progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing/procurement, or inventory management in manufacturing/distribution- Management experience with strong communication, organization, and negotiation skillsDay to DayYour day starts by reviewing inventory levels, open purchase orders, supplier commitments, and material availability to ensure manufacturing and customer requirements are being met across all company locations. You quickly identify potential shortages, delays, or inventory concerns and work with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues before they impact operations.Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with sales, operations, manufacturing, warehouse, and finance teams to align purchasing activities with production schedules and customer demand. You'll communicate with domestic and international suppliers, negotiate pricing and delivery schedules, monitor supplier performance, and ensure critical materials arrive on time.You'll also spend time analyzing inventory data, forecasting demand, reviewing purchasing trends, and identifying opportunities to improve inventory turns, reduce costs, and increase supply chain efficiency. Before wrapping up the day, you'll review key supply chain metrics, address outstanding procurement issues, and establish priorities to ensure customer commitments and operational objectives remain on track.Competitive salary ($85k–$90k) plus a comprehensive benefits package:- Medical, Dental, and Vision (KLINGER GPI pays 100% of dental/vision premiums and 100% of premiums for two of four medical plans)- Dependent coverage support: company pays 50% of eligible premiums for medical, dental, and vision- Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA); for eligible high-deductible plans, $37 contributed per pay period to an HSA- 401(k) with match: 100% on the first 3% and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions- Life Insurance: $15,000 policy provided at no cost- Paid Time OffMust be able to pass an initial drug screening and random screenings.Must be able to pass a background check.
