Summary
The Business Development Manager is primarily responsible for lead generation and business development efforts that result in the successful acquisition of work. This role focuses on identifying and securing profitable construction projects with target clients with an emphasis on design-build and GCCM delivery methods valued at $25 million and greater.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, and/or construction or related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years' construction-related experience, business development, and marketing experience preferred.
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
- Utilizes good judgment and remains efficient while under stress
- Capable of communicating effectively in English both verbally and in writing
- Strong understanding of sales strategies and construction processes, including project acquisition, and client relationship development.
- Must have a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, organizational skills, task oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills: maintains effective relationships with others by using tact and by being sensitive to others' feelings and needs.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal; expresses self clearly and effectively; uses proper organization and grammar in written communication.
- Good presentation skills; effectively prepares formal presentations of ideas and proposals; effectively expresses self to groups and individuals.
- Is creative; has the ability to generate many workable solutions to a problem.
- Is persuasive; uses appropriate methods and styles of communication to gain acceptance of an idea, plan, activity, or product.
- Has working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other related software.
- Must be willing to travel if required
The full salary range for this position is $120,000 to $200,000, depending on experience, record of performance, and potential business creation. This position is eligible for a target bonus.

Note: Sick leave accrues at one (1) hour for every 30 hours worked. Accrual for sick leave is capped at 240 hours. At the end of each calendar year, you will be allowed to carry over accrued and unused sick leave up to 240 hours. You will not begin accruing sick leave until you drop below the accrual cap.
