Ready to join a 6-time US Best Managed Company? Grain Processing Corporation (GPC), a KENT WORLDWIDE™ company and leading manufacturer of grain-based products, located in Muscatine, Iowa, has an opportunity to join their internship program as a Sales Intern in their Starch Sales department for the 2027 summer! The GPC Sales Internship promotes knowledge and understanding of our company and its products, selling tactics, and our sales process within the GPC Sales group. The intern will interact daily with GPC customers and prospects, providing valuable insights on customers, sales opportunities, and market developments to the sales team.

  • The position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage resources in Creative Solutions and Operations to better understand and market GPC’s products and their applications
  • Attend and participate in various meetings and events to absorb valuable knowledge of the company, in the industry, and of the sales process
  • Work as part of the inside sales team to initiate and maintain contact with prospects and customers through use of CRM and Seamless AI tools
  • Work closely with various sales team members to gain knowledge in building strong customer relationships, mastering negotiation tactics, and closing deals effectively throughout the sales process
  • Accompany sales representatives in their territories, capturing the valuable insights and lessons gained while interacting with prospects and customers
  • Utilize Dynamics 360 CRM, Power BI, and Seamless AI tools to maintain sales records and generate leads in an assigned market and/or territory
  • Deliver a presentation to company stakeholders and leaders towards the conclusion of the internship, summarizing completed projects, acquired knowledge, and key insights

Education and Qualification Requirements

  • Is currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree at an affiliated school, with a preference for majors in business-related fields, engineering, or other related fields
  • Is interested in sales and is comfortable building relationships with people
