Job description

BUSINESS DIVISION MANAGER

Experius Distribution | Commercial Flooring Products & Distribution | Florence, Alabama | Full-Time

BUILD THE BUSINESS. TMT America, Inc. (“TMT”) is seeking a commercially minded business leader to build and grow Experius Distribution. TMT acquired the Experius business effective July 1, 2026, and is combining Experius Distribution with the current distribution operations of TMT Flooring Group, LLC.

The existing Experius business provides OEM and Experius-branded commercial flooring products through an e-commerce and distribution platform, with products and offerings that include flooring products, adhesives, floor-preparation products, accessories, tools, moisture-related products, and other flooring-related materials. TMT is now positioned to expand this platform into a broader, more comprehensive, and scalable distribution business.

The ideal candidate is a mature, confident, and energetic business professional who understands how to build relationships on both sides of the supply chain. You should be equally comfortable negotiating with a manufacturer, presenting a business opportunity to an executive, developing a major customer, analyzing margins and pricing, and identifying the next opportunity for growth. All this is achievable by working with good colleagues and the President of the Company.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a high-autonomy opportunity for a builder and business developer who wants to make a meaningful impact.

You will have significant responsibility and latitude to develop the Experius business and establish the foundation for long-term growth. This is not a traditional sales manager’s role. You will work closely with senior leadership to help shape the business strategy, product portfolio, vendor network, customer relationships, operating infrastructure, and commercial model needed to create a strong, profitable, and sustainable business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business plan and growth strategy for Experius.
  • Establish sales, purchasing, distribution, inventory, and operational strategies.
  • Expand the product offering, including subfloor-preparation products, tools, accessories, sundries, and other complementary products.
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, customers, distributors, contractors, and other industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new revenue, market, product, and business-development opportunities.
  • Negotiate vendor pricing, terms, freight, rebates, and other commercial agreements.
  • Establish financial and operating goals and monitor sales, margins, inventory, profitability, and performance against those goals.
  • Build the personnel, systems, processes, and infrastructure necessary for a profitable and scalable business.
  • Work collaboratively with TMT's other businesses to identify opportunities for growth, efficiency, and strategic alignment.
  • Represent Experius with key customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and industry partners; travel throughout the Southeast and nationally as needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive business experience, ideally including 3+ years in management, business development, commercial leadership, distribution, or a comparable role.
  • Experience in flooring, building materials, interior finishes, construction products, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, architectural products, or a related industry.
  • Proven B2B sales, business development, vendor-management, and negotiation experience.
  • Strong understanding of pricing, purchasing, margins, forecasting, inventory, and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business maturity, judgment, professionalism, initiative, and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and build a business from the ground up.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively.

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Direct flooring experience is preferred, but not required. We welcome strong commercial leaders from related industries such as cabinets, countertops, tile and stone, interior finishes, lumber/building materials, commercial construction products, architectural products, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, and interior design products.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS

This is an opportunity to build something—not simply manage what already exists. The successful candidate will help determine where Experius goes next and will have a direct impact on its growth, profitability, customer base, vendor relationships, product portfolio, and future team.

If you are a strategic, commercially minded leader who can develop relationships, negotiate effectively, make sound business decisions, and turn opportunities into profitable growth, we want to hear from you.

EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY

TMT America, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.

Employment eligibility will be verified through the federal E-Verify program as required by applicable law.
