Vice President, Account Executive - Construction and Infrastructure

What the day will look like

Within a leading team, you will directly give to delivering tangible results for our clients by offering innovative and effective solutions as part of Aon’s Risk Management Solutions business in Québec. You will also play an active role in business development, helping grow the portfolio in the construction and infrastructure sector.

As an Account Director, your primary mission will be to retain and grow our existing client portfolio while generating new revenue streams, notably through acquiring new accounts and developing complementary opportunities. You will have clear growth objectives and will be involved in designing and accomplishing business development plans for your target markets. You will coordinate all of Aon’s resources to bring the best of Aon to each of your clients.

You will also be responsible for implementing all elements of Aon’s Client Promise plan, ensuring highquality execution and lasting client satisfaction. In parallel, you will actively give to building the pipeline of new opportunities and converting prospects into new mandates.

  • Responsibility for a portfolio of contractor clients at Aon. These clients will be local, national, and will include international contractors with operations in Canada.
  • As the main point of contact for construction-sector clients, you will be responsible for understanding their specific risk management and insurance needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Construction and Infrastructure segments to design and implement strategies to increase Aon’s presence in the construction sector in Québec. This includes participating in the identification of new target accounts and the preparation of commercial proposals.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key collaborators, including industry associations, clients, and prospects. You will be proactive in developing and engaging this network in order to generate new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Montreal office and across Aon’s broader network to deliver comprehensive solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks affecting construction companies, and use this insight to identify business development angles and differentiated value propositions.
  • Identify crosssell and upsell opportunities for Aon’s services and help convert them into concrete revenue in partnership with specialized teams.
  • Represent Aon at industry events, conferences, and association meetings to expand your professional network and visibility. You will act as an Aon ambassador in the market, positioning our offerings and supporting prospecting efforts.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience with construction and infrastructure risk
  • DEC or higher education in a relevant field or equivalent years of work experience in a relevant industry.
  • AMF license in commercial insurance;
  • French / English bilingualism required due to frequent interactions with clients, colleagues, or partners based in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and/or internationally.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills;
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service;
  • Proficiency in MS Office software.
