POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for leading and executing quality assurance strategies that align with organizational goals and continuous improvement initiatives. Reporting directly to the Director of Continuous Improvement, this role drives AQL-based quality standards while ensuring full compliance with ISO requirements and internal quality management systems.

This position provides oversight of inspection processes, reporting accuracy and SLA adherence by establishing a structured, data-driven approach to quality control. The Quality Control Manager leads the development and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring consistent execution of standards across the quality team. As a key leader, this role is responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, operational excellence and customer-first approach. The Quality Control Manager proactively identifies risks, escalates critical quality issues to senior leadership and partners cross-functionally to enhance product quality and overall customer satisfaction. Additionally, the role champions Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to drive long-term performance improvements within the department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set clear expectations, priorities and direction for the Quality Control team aligned with company objectives.
  • Foster a high-performance culture centered on accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
  • Drive AQL-based quality initiatives and ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal quality systems
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes for inspections and reporting to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze key quality KPIs on a daily basis to identify trends, risks and areas of vulnerability.
  • Ensure timely and accurate inspection reporting in alignment with defined service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Train, and development direct reports to enhance technical capability, role clarity and overall team effectiveness.
  • Promote ongoing learning and continuous skills development within the team.
  • Partner with internal departments to communicate quality insights, trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Champion a customer-first mindset within the quality function, ensuring quality outcomes align with customer expectations.
  • Lead and support Lean initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall quality performance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has direct reports.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality, Continuous Improvement, or similar role leading and executing process improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma and other continuous improvement principles
  • Must have in depth knowledge of process improvement experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain
  • Proficiency with computers and MS Office

  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard
