Description
The Business Systems Analyst I is responsible for the support, enhancement and maintenance of finance, information technology, and operational applications. This position additionally provides assistance in the evaluation of processes, projects and initiatives in support of the company’s strategic goals and objectives. 
The incumbent in this position is expected to model the following practices on a daily basis: 1) Demonstrate alignment with the company's mission and core business values; 2) Collaborate with key internal/external resources; 3) Participate in ongoing self-development.

Essential Functions
  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission
  •  Delivers targeted results within determined time frames and achieves overall customer satisfaction
  • Monitors, automates and improves current business processes to facilitate the best use of business applications and technology in alignment with enterprise  growth and needs
  • Integrates with operational and other support departments as well as third party customers and vendors (i.e. 3rd party technology providers, auditors, bankers, etc.) to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Analyzes and evaluates current Finance and Information Technology operational processes and procedures
  • Evaluate requests for application upgrades to identify and reduce the impact to business and integrated systems
  • Maintains and improves technologies in order to achieve efficiencies and increase productivity
  • Have sound business applications expertise (including Financials, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Inventory, and Integration Logic)
  •  Remains up-to-date and current on developing business and technology trends as they pertain to finance, business systems and enterprise goals, objectives, and directions.
  • Trains and develops internal customers and Finance/IT staff on utilization of newly developed procedures/tools in order to ensure consistent application and understanding
  •  Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  •  Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  •  Knowledge of CAT products and the Heavy Equipment Industry 
  • Knowledge of current system and data analytics
  • Knowledge of Dynamics Finance and Operations, Power BI, DBS, Coda,  and other applications 
  •  Basic accounting knowledge, with understanding of invoices, statements of account receivables, payables, and various forms of payment remittances
  •  Knowledge of sales techniques, financial, credit, and accounting principles
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products – Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint 
  • Good judgement skills using common sense and other learned principles
  •  Exceptional organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills 
  • Ability to read, write, and understand information 
  • Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
  • Active listening skills 
  •  Ability to work and collaborate with individuals and groups
  •  Knowledge of safe work policies, procedures, and practices

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in business, computer science, finance or related field required or comparable experience equivalent 
  •  Minimum of three years of experience required, five or more years of experience preferred
  • ERP or Financial Application Experience preferred

  •  None
Travel: 
  • Limited travel is to be expected
Physical Requirements:

  • This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional standing, walking, and stooping
  •  Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  •  Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • This role frequently communicates with others, must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  •  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines
Work Environment:
  • This job is generally performed in a professional office environment
  •  Occasionally works outdoors and noise level may be loud at times
  •  Occasional exposure to hazardous conditions and equipment
  • Occasional exposure to extremely bright or inadequate lighting
  •  Frequently works at fast pace with unscheduled interruptions
