Job description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Business Operations Associate to work in our Arlington, VA office.
Everforth ECS is seeking a Business Operations Associate to convert business priorities into organized execution. This role supports the meetings, communications, materials, projects, events, and office logistics that allow leaders to make decisions and keep work moving.
The position reports to a business unit leader and will regularly interact with other business and sector leaders based in the office. It requires strong judgment, clear communication, disciplined organization, and the ability to manage details while understanding the broader business context.
This is not a traditional office management role. Office coordination is part of the position, but the primary value is business support: preparing useful materials, tracking commitments, coordinating work across teams, improving communication, and helping leaders operate with clarity and pace.
Responsibilities
  • Support leadership meetings and operating routines. Coordinate calendars, business reviews, planning sessions, team meetings, and recurring leadership forums. Prepare agendas, organize materials, manage room and video logistics, capture action items, and track follow through.
  • Keep priorities and projects organized. Maintain trackers, timelines, status updates, documentation, and open item lists for work involving multiple leaders or teams. Clarify ownership, identify gaps, flag delays, and help ensure commitments are visible and moving.
  • Draft and refine business communications. Prepare announcements, leadership updates, meeting notes, newsletters, talking points, and other internal communications. Turn rough direction, partial context, or draft content into clear, professional, audience appropriate materials.
  • Prepare business materials. Create and improve PowerPoint presentations, reports, spreadsheets, meeting packets, and other documents used by leaders and teams. Ensure materials are accurate, organized, polished, and ready for use in a professional setting.
  • Coordinate events and office logistics. Support team meetings, offsites, town halls, working sessions, celebrations, visitor meetings, and other business events. Manage space, catering, A/V, materials, attendee communications, vendor coordination, supplies, deliveries, workspace setup, and general office readiness.
  • Use tools to improve execution. Apply Microsoft Office, collaboration platforms, and AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar platforms to draft, summarize, organize information, improve templates, reduce repetitive work, and increase the speed and quality of business support.

Salary Range: $65,000-$95,000
General Description of Benefits
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2+ years of relevant professional experience in operations, business support, administrative support, executive support, project coordination, communications, office management, or a similar environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize information, draft professional communications, prepare meeting notes, and adjust tone for different audiences.
  • Strong organization and follow through, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track details, meet deadlines, and bring structure to work that may not arrive fully defined.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Candidates should be comfortable producing clean presentations, organized spreadsheets, polished documents, and accurate calendar communications.
  • Comfort working with senior stakeholders, including the ability to handle sensitive information, manage competing priorities, communicate professionally, and represent the business well.
  • Practical comfort using AI and productivity tools to draft, summarize, organize, research, and streamline work. Expertise is not required, but sound judgment and curiosity are important.
  • Ability to work on site and provide hands on support for leaders, meetings, events, visitors, and office operations.
