Job Summary
The Senior Channel Business Analyst will work collaboratively with their peers and Field Sales Leaders and associates to support a set of critical retail partners while working cross functionally to drive overall wholesale Channel and Corporate strategies. In this role you will problem solve, think analytically and creatively to enable our best in class experience for our Carhartt retail partners. A successful business analyst understands retail and is able to clearly communicate with the business and cross functional partners.

Associate Responsibilities
  • Partner with Sales Reps and Customers to develop and align on pre-season Account Level Assortment Plans for our National Accounts based on top-down Targets provided by the Channel Leaders
  • Participates in regular pre, post and in season checkpoints and inputs with Demand Planning
  • Responsible for reporting Revenue vs the Customers Targets and related Customer point of sale KPIs such as Sales, Inventory, Margin and Turn
  • Participates in Wholesale Inventory Management through reviewing Fill Rates and In Stocks and monitoring ATP and Contract consumption and availability
  • Participates in Wholesale, Channel, and Account analysis incorporating product, geography, and consumer insights to identify actionable opportunities to increase top-line sales while mitigating risk.
  • Establish cross-functional relationships to promote best practices and processes with teams including Field Sales, Retail Brand Marketing, Strategy and Insights, Merchandising, Customer Care, Demand Planning, and IT
  • Research, benchmark, design and implement new or enhanced processes/projects to meet key business objectives
  • Support the business in the creation of business cases and change requests to support corporate strategies with clear ROI and to continually improve the functionality, performance, and reliability of our systems and processes
  • Mentor Channel Business Analysts
  • Lower level of analysis for key customers: digging in by store, region. Analyze how different sets perform (SIS, Evolution, Fusion)
  • Lead Special Projects and Department Initiatives by assuming the role of Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Project Manager, providing regular updates on progress
  • Assist in generating Wholesale and Channel Level insights by analyzing Point of Sale data, Shipment data, and industry trends to identify potential risks and opportunities that will be communicated and presented to sales and cross-functional teams for their awareness and strategic planning

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Related Field

Required Skills & Experience
  • 6 or more years of Business Analyst experience required. Apparel, ecommerce, retail or consumer products manufacturing experience preferred
  • National Account experience strongly preferred
  • Strong MS-Office skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), High proficiency with Excel is strongly preferred including, but not limited to: VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • 2 Years of experience with SAP Business Objects or a similar data extraction platform.
  • Knowledge of analysis tools such as Lumira, Tableau, or MS-Power BI.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business processes and key metrics which relate to retail sales, finance, inventory, etc.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and attention to detail.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to present information in an understandable format.
  • Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal skills, organization, time management and analytical/problem solving skills are required along with a high degree of flexibility and creativity
  • Demonstrated experience in writing clear and comprehensive formal reports based on specific queries and other subjects relating to work assignments.
