Ares Enterprise is seeking candidates for a full-time Business Development Associate position that is remote from their headquarters in Fairfax, VA. At Ares, we deliver innovative systems, solutions and services in support of the critical missions of the Department of Defense along with other federal agencies seeking to ensure the safety and security of our nation. Ideal candidates will have a secret clearance or be able to obtain a clearance.

Support Requirements:

· Work with Headquarters staff and other employees to improve the ability to perform core business development operations and mission support

· Perform qualitative and quantitative research and data gathering and identify key themes, trends, and opportunities from complex data sets

· Provide market feedback to the company leadership regarding competitive offerings, prospect needs and generate product development ideas

· Work with leadership to plan and coordinate the implementation of business plans and the penetration of new markets

· Capture, synthesize, and summarize key points from interviews, focus groups, and internal meetings, translating insights into draft deliverables and products

· Develop Microsoft PowerPoint briefings and Excel spreadsheets to support project execution and completion

· Edit, standardize, and revise material prepared by other staff members

· Incorporate section reviews from other team members and resolve conflicts quickly

· Conduct high-level research for contract opportunities via personnel interviews and web/CRM searches

· Meet deadlines, adhere to project plans, ensure any conflicts are brought to the attention of the management team, multi–task, and work on several projects simultaneously

· Maintain quality results by using templates; follow proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, tone, and maintain proposal support databases

· Excellent writing skills, including understanding of grammatical rules, punctuation, sentence structure, and active/passive voice

Requirements:

· Ability to obtain Secret Security Clearance

· Bachelor's Degree in a related field

· Two (2+) years of experience; at least one year of experience in business development, a corporate/business focused environment, and/or government contracting

· Understanding of Shipley methodology for business development, capture and proposal support

· Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook as well as CRM tools (Monday.com, Salesforce, Hubspot)

· Ability to think conceptually, strategically, and critically; display a Proven track record of increasing revenue through generation of leads

· Ability to structure, facilitate, and lead weekly/monthly meetings with various levels of staff

· Ability to interact and network effectively with all levels of staff, including senior leadership, both internally and on the client site
