Job description

POSITION TITLE:               Assistant Cyber Store Business Manager
STATUS:                             Non-Exempt
DEPARTMENT:                  5231 - ShopGoodwill
REPORTS TO:                   Cyber Store Business Manager
SAFETY SENSITIVE:        HIGH - Position is subject to pre-employment physical and, drug & alcohol screening.
This is a full-time 40 hours per week position and is eligible for company benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and paid time off.  
Location - 2007 Sebastopol Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95407.
The starting wage for this position is $25.00 per hour. 
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE JOB:   The Assistant Cyber Store Business Manager will play a key role by significantly contributing to the management and operational success of the ShopGoodwill unit. In coordination with the Cyber Store Business Manager, the Assistant Cyber Store Business Manager will help oversee all daily cyber store operations, including sales performance, production processes, customer service, staff supervision, inventory management, shipping operations, and quality control. This position supports in ensuring operational efficiency, maximizing profitability, maintaining safety standards, and promoting a positive image of GIRE within the community. The Assistant Cyber Store Business Manager serves as the Manager on duty in the absence of the Cyber Store Business Manager.
PROVIDES SUPERVISION TO: The Assistant Cyber Store Business Manager provides direct supervision of e-Commerce Support employees and clients assigned to the department, in alignment with GIRE management principles.
RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Drive cyber store revenue performance and support achievement of financial targets and revenue growth under the direction of the Cyber Store Business Manager.
  • Ensure that all reporting of sales and production data is input as directed.
  • Implement and enforce external and internal policies and procedures.
  • Maintain production procedures designed to maximize operational efficiency in processing, product preparation, sales, shipping, and customer service functions.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality customer service standards and resolve customer issues in a satisfactory and timely manner.
  • Manage online sales including photo’ing, listing quality, pricing accuracy, and shipping.
  • Ensure that safety standards are met.
  • Provide training and effective communication and coordination with retail store management to maximize quality control and quantity of donated goods sent to cyber store.
  • Provide management support to maintain a positive, team-orientated work environment aligned with Goodwill guiding principles.
  • Effectively train and coach all employees on job responsibilities to improve performance, work habits, and policies and procedures of GIRE.
  • Complete administrative functions including reporting, scheduling, inventory, documentation, payroll, and department communications as directed by your supervisor.

  • Back up any position in the department as needed to accomplish goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma required; post-secondary education with an emphasis in Business preferred.
  • 2 years of proven management experience in an increasingly responsible supervisory/management position, management experience in an online sales environment is preferred.
  • Ability to demonstrate growth of business and process improvement.
  • Valid CA Class C Driver’s License and proof of personal auto insurance.
  • Must have access to a reliable passenger vehicle that supports completion of essential and ancillary functions of the position.
  • Computer skills in Word, Excel, and Outlook at proficient level.
  • Superior organizational and general administrative skills.
  • Developed leadership skills resulting in strong ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English clearly and fluently.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions.
