Job description

Business Assistant will issue purchase orders, monitor order status, resolve supplier issues, and develop and maintain good vendor relationships. Business Assistant will manage receipt, entry, tracking, and file archiving of all purchase-related documents along with some basic accounting functions.
Job Details
  • Creates and processes purchase orders
  • Monitor order status, inspects and verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
  • Manages document storage, in electronic and paper version in support of purchasing and logistics functions
  • Submission, tracking and follow-up of financial purchase orders including updating tracking sheet
  • Manages relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery, good rates and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Packs goods to be shipped and prepares shipping labels and other needed shipping documents
  • Perform basic accounting tasks. Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling, answering phone calls, sorting mails, etc.
  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)
  • Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline is preferred
  • Some administrative experience preferred
  • Basic accounting skills
  • Intermediate Outlook, Word and Excel skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal and vendor management skills
  • Ability to organize and keep records for inventory and purchasing functions
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities
  • Strong ability to work independently but also as part of a cooperative team

The expected salary range for this position is between $40,000 to $50,000. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Centrillion considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education, position level and geographical location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for annual bonus and equity grants, in addition to a full range of financial, health and wellness benefits, depending on the position offered.
