Job description

We are seeking an experienced Business Architect with a strong background in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) to drive enterprise-wide alignment of business goals, strategies, and processes with PLM technology solutions. The ideal candidate will act as a strategic advisor, bridging the gap between business and IT to ensure optimal implementation and integration of PLM systems across product development, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain functions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and maintain business architecture frameworks aligned with enterprise strategy and PLM initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to understand current-state processes and define future-state operating models.
  • Translate strategic business objectives into executable PLM roadmaps and capabilities.
  • Guide the design and optimization of end-to-end PLM processes (e.g., product development, change management, BOM management, CAD data management).
  • Collaborate with IT architects and solution teams to ensure PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA) support business needs.
  • Analyse and model business processes, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for digital transformation.
  • Facilitate business capability assessments and maturity modelling across departments.
  • Serve as a key liaison in cross-functional initiatives involving product data, compliance, and lifecycle governance.
  • Support change management and training initiatives to ensure adoption of PLM-related process changes.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices, regulations, and trends in PLM and business architecture.
  • Support test strategy development to ensure alignment with business processes and user requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in business, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 5 +years of experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or business process consulting.
  • 35 years of hands-on experience with PLM systems (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, SAP PLM).
  • Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC),
  • Strong knowledge of product development lifecycle and related business processes.
  • Experience mapping business capabilities and aligning them with IT systems.
  • Proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration between business and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with business architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, BIZBOK).
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, High-Tech, Consumer Goods, or Industrial Equipment.
  • Certifications in Business Architecture (e.g., CBA), PLM platforms, or TOGAF.
  • Working knowledge of digital twin, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), or digital thread concepts.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in PLM (e.g., FDA, ISO standards).Experience in Agile methodology, Feature and Story refinement and documentation
