GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES


The key responsibility of the Business Development Representative is to seek out potential clients through networking, cold calling, legal advertising, or other means to generate interest. Build connections with new clients and offer ongoing support to enhance the relationship. The Business Development Rep must expand and maintain existing accounts by introducing new solutions and services. This role demands in-depth knowledge of the market and a keen understanding of the ongoing industry changes. The primary duties of the Business Development Representative can be outlined as follows:



SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognizes pioneering concepts by investigating industry trends, relevant events, publications, and announcements;
  • Increase business and business relationships; such as set meetings with medical practitioners, other treatment programs, large employers, universities, EAP, SAP, unions, etc. in an effort to educate them about our program
  • Screens potential business by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  • Develops negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential and maintaining brand standards in public.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Tracks all sales and development activity through approved CRM tools and produces executive level and tactical level reports that provide visibility and transparency into the activities of the department.
  • Works with Marketing Teams to create integrated marketing plans and strategies.
  • Will speak at conferences on behalf of the company to share company story, history and vision.
  • Manages client related communication and CRM remotely. Communication may frequently fall outside of regular business hours (including weekends). Occasional overnight travel will be required.
  • Communicates insurance coverage information to appropriate interdisciplinary team members for continuity of care. 
  • Conducts tours of the facility for families and other visitors. 
  • Must have the skills and competency to communicate with people at all levels of the organization; including- executive management, patients, and external agencies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of four years experience in a role driving sales, marketing and client acquisition
  • Experience in Healthcare / Behavioral Health is highly preferred.
  • General understanding of treatment modalities, levels of care, and industry best practices for treating substance use and co-occurring disorders.
  • Comfortable working in a time-sensitive, confidential environment where there are continually changing priorities.
  • Must be very computer/software/internet experienced.
  • Comfortable in an environment where over-communication is needed
  • Exceptional communication and follow through skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work professionally
  • Ability to maintain a strict level of confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA laws regarding healthcare treatment
  • If in recovery, must have at least two years clean time.
