Job description

Applied Research Solutions (ARS) is seeking a motivated Operations Analyst - Journeyman to support critical national security missions at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with experience in operations analysis, engineering, data analytics, military operations, systems analysis, or program support who want to contribute to one of the Air Force's most important mission areas.
In this role, you'll work alongside experienced government and contractor personnel to analyze mission requirements, assess system performance, support decision-making, and help ensure the effectiveness of Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) capabilities. You'll gain exposure to complex weapon systems, mission analysis, and enterprise-level Air Force operations while developing valuable technical and professional skills.

As an Operations Analyst, you will:
  • Support assessments of weapon system and mission readiness capabilities.
  • Analyze operational, exercise, and performance data to identify trends and support decision-making.
  • Assist with developing and improving analytical processes and methodologies.
  • Support modeling, analysis, verification, and assessment activities related to NC3 systems and mission requirements.
  • Prepare reports, briefings, and presentations for Air Force leadership and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with program offices, engineers, operators, and mission partners across the enterprise.
  • Help document findings and recommendations that improve mission effectiveness and situational awareness.
  • Support operational assessments and exercises to evaluate mission performance and readiness.
  • Assist with special studies and projects.
  • Will perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Physics, Business Analytics, Military Science, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret data and communicate findings effectively
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, and briefing materials
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
