Job Summary:

DQE Communications is seeking a Senior Application Business Analyst to support our applications portfolio and Agile delivery teams. This role will focus on driving requirements, improving processes, and ensuring successful execution of key initiatives across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly ramp up, work independently, and partner effectively with business and technical stakeholders to deliver results. Remote position, local to Pittsburgh headquarters preferred. Candidate will be required to travel to the Pittsburgh area for training and on an as needed basis.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Lead requirements gathering and analysis with business stakeholders across multiple application initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications.
  • Develop process maps, data flows, and workflow documentation to support system enhancements and operational improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between business teams, Product Owner, and technical resources to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Participate in and contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support backlog management and prioritization in Jira or similar tools.
  • Plan and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test case development, defect tracking, and validation.
  • Identify and manage defects and issues, ensuring resolution prior to deployment.
  • Run SQL queries and analyze data to support reporting, troubleshooting, and decisionmaking.
  • Develop and track KPIs and performance metrics for applications and business processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors/contractors to deliver project objectives on time.
  • Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to ensure continuity postengagement.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven ability to independently lead requirements and stakeholder discussions.
  • Handson experience with SQL and data analysis.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise applications and system integrations.
  • Telecom industry experience or exposure to OSS/BSS systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and deliver in a fastpaced environment.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • 7+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise applications.
