Responsibilities

  • Lead business analysis initiatives independently while managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, functional requirements, and process needs.
  • Work hands-on with data to identify trends, investigate data issues, surface insights, and translate findings into actionable business outcomes.
  • Use SQL to query, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data across complex data environments.
  • Partner with business, product, technology, data, and other cross-functional teams to define solutions and drive initiatives to completion.
  • Translate ambiguous business needs into structured requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other clear deliverables.
  • Communicate complex business and technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Facilitate discussions, resolve ambiguity, build alignment, and influence decisions across teams without direct authority.
  • Identify data and process gaps and collaborate with stakeholders to develop effective solutions.
  • Lead workstreams within larger initiatives and ensure deliverables are completed on time and to expected quality standards.
  • Mentor and support junior business analysts, sharing best practices and providing guidance on analysis and documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement of business processes, data capabilities, and analytical practices.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in business analysis, product management, data platform management, or a related field.
  • Strong SQL proficiency, with the ability to query, analyze, validate, and troubleshoot data directly.
  • Proven experience working hands-on with data to identify insights, resolve data-related problems, and support business decisions.
  • Experience in financial services, with experience in asset management or wealth management strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into clear, structured, and well-documented deliverables.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes, drive alignment, and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Experience leading workstreams or initiatives from requirements through delivery.
