Job description

A Day in the Life:
As an HR Intern supporting Nissan's R&D organization, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of HR programs and initiatives while working closely with HR Business Partners and business leaders. From helping create a great employee experience to supporting talent and development programs, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building practical HR skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead key R&D HR programs, including the R&D Staff Appreciation Program, R&D Student Intern Program, onboarding activities, and employee development initiatives.
  • Assist with talent management processes such as performance calibrations, talent reviews, career development activities, and related reporting and communications.
  • Provide administrative support for HR operations, including purchase orders, invoices, expense reporting, Workday reporting, document preparation, and stakeholder communications.
  • Track project milestones, maintain process documentation, and support knowledge transfer efforts to ensure continuity of recurring HR programs and initiatives.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners on special projects and organizational initiatives that support the employee experience and business objectives.

Who We're Looking for:
  • Knowledge: Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills. Strong working knowledge of MS office. Knowledge of Workday is an asset.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal skills are core to this position. Ability to present confidential, potentially contentious and complex information with diplomacy. Excellent negotiation, writing and listening skills. Able to work collaboratively within small HR team, managers and employees.
  • Complexity and Problem-Solving: Experience specific to areas of job analysis and/or job specification and administration. Able to self-direct and move project forward with limited supervisory oversight.
  • Working Conditions: Frequent exposure to multiple and/or conflicting deadlines. Potential limited daily supervision after initial roll out.

Required:
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program for Human Resources, Psychology, Organizational Development or similar.
