Job description

The Business Analyst I provides operational and analytical support to the LERETA Tax and Flood operations nationwide. The role is proactive, energetic, analytical, and possesses the professional acumen and skills required to interact with internal partners on a frequent basis. The position works closely with Operations, Technology, Finance, Accounting, Risk & Compliance, Sales, Account Management, Third Party Service Providers, Training and Customers to drive operational excellence.

Duplicate Bill Fee Analysis

  • Identifies all agency and 3rd party fees that are potentially eligible for charge back to customers
  • Captures and stores all necessary details about these fees in a structure that allows for the validation of charge back eligibility and ability to provide necessary supporting detail when invoicing to customers
  • Captures and stores customer servicing agreement details in a structure that allows accurate determination of charge back eligibility based on agency fee type
  • Installs reconciliation and control functions that confirm process accuracy

Business Analysis

  • Supports business initiatives through financial analysis, operational production analysis, staffing and capacity modeling, business justification & cost benefit analysis, operational & financial forecasts and general business reporting
  • Analyzes and provides recommendations on major projects and system enhancements to the executive decision makers

Process Improvement

  • Drives business process improvement through needs assessment, business process investigation & documentation (current state), design, socialization & documentation of target state processes, and waste & control gap identification utilizing Lean, Six Sigma, etc

User Acceptance Testing

  • Coordinates, participates and provides general guidance in the quality assurance testing of functions for technology applications, systems and projects where needed

This position will perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the department.

Core Competencies

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in Business Administration, Finance, and Operations Management, Computer Information Systems or related field
  • Financial Services Industry experience

Salary range: $54,678 - $60,000
