Job description

Systems Engineer
OASYS, INC., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Air Force customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Job Responsibilities include: Contribute to the system engineering effort for a Department of War (DoW) software development project.
  • Experience working with systems engineering activities across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architecture design, integration, verification, and validation.
  • Experience in systems engineering processes and methodologies such as Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile, and DevSecOps frameworks.
  • Ability to model requirements digitally with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Cameo Systems Modeler, and similar requirements management and modeling platforms.
  • Understanding of software architecture patterns, interface design, and system integration for complex defense applications.
  • Experience managing technical baselines, configuration control, and change management processes.
  • Ability to coordinate with government stakeholders, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and drive program execution.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity requirements including CSRMC (formerly RMF), NIST 800-53, and DoD security technical implementation guides
  • Knowledge of Air Force mission systems, command and control architectures, or relevant operational domains considered a plus

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline: however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • INCOSE CSEP, ESEP, or similar systems engineering certification is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
