Maui Bus Dispatcher
Department: Operations
Reports to: Maui Bus Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
1. Job Purpose/Objective:
Up to $27.09/ Hr
This position is responsible for scheduling, directing, and communicating with drivers to ensure on-time service delivery and providing service excellence to all customers, vendors, clients, and employees that require transportation services/assistance at all times.
2. Essential Job Functions:
  • Level 1 - Dispatcher
    • Report on time for scheduled shift
    • Ensure that all drivers have reported for duty on time
    • Monitor "Call Log" to ensure all drivers have received their correct start time for the day
    • Review daily service orders to ensure proper coverage
      • Open runs
      • Challenges
    • Review driver assignments and make necessary changes to ensure proper service delivery

4. Working Conditions/Job Environment:
  • Must be able to stand, walk and sit for sustained periods of time
  • Medium work- exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects
  • Stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting for extended periods of time
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately,
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discriminations in sound
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal and preparing schedules and inputting computer data
