Hours: Mon-Thurs 2:55pm-3:55pm; Fri 2pm-3:15pm
POSITION SUMMARY
The Driver is responsible for providing bus transportation for after-school and summer camp transportation and special YMCA field trip events. In addition, every position in the YMCA of Greensboro is responsible for carrying out our promise to strengthen the foundations of community with focus on Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility while upholding our values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Safe transport of participants from one location to another.
  2. Keeping accurate records relating to the bus and expenses.
  3. Performing daily maintenance checks of the vehicles and reporting repair needs to the supervisor as needed.
  4. Keeping interior of bus clean.

  4. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  5. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  6. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. Employee must be able to pass DOT physical to maintain appropriate driver's license endorsement. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  7. Certifications: Valid class CDL license with "P" endorsement required for hire. CPR/AED, First Aid, Blood borne pathogen training required after hire and must remain current.
