A Day in the Life:
If you are someone who wants to live new possibilities, Bunge would be a great place for you. Bunge is hiring for multiple full-time operator positions in our soybean and specialty protein plant in Gibson City, IL. Join a dynamic, high energy, and high performing team.
Current Openings:
  • Protein Loader
  • Extruder Packer
  • Extruder Operator

Position Details:
12 hour rotating shift, 5am-5pm or 5pm-5am
Pay: Starting at $28.48 an hour
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Operate machinery used in the production/processing/packaging process
  • Examine products to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Observe equipment operations and troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Make adjustments to operating equipment
  • Clean and lubricate equipment
  • Load and unload items from machines, conveyors, and conveyances
  • Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items manually or using forklifts
  • Have a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations
  • Demonstrate safe working practices and have the ability to notify operations of safety alarms
  • Properly and accurately record all applicable documentation
  • Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment
  • Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
  • Skilled equipment operations, safety programs and grain operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Ability to work with computerized control systems
  • Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to hot and cold conditions, according to the season

Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2-4 years of experience
  • Background in agriculture
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Proficient in basic computer skills
