In 2005, Inlet Petroleum became part of the Saltchuk family of companies, and Inlet’s operations became a part of Delta Western, infusing the customer service culture with equal emphasis on safety. In 2018, NorthStar Energy recognized the enduring power of the Inlet brand which customers associated with exceptional service and thought leadership. After a refresh, Inlet Petroleum Company became Inlet Energy. With over 40 employees housed in a newly constructed building on Ship Avenue in Anchorage, Inlet Energy is equipped with over 40,000 square feet of warehouse storage, a state-of-the-art 100,000-gallon bulk tank farm, and its own fleet of bulk fuel and lubricant trucks. 

Inlet Energy provides exceptional customer service to retail, commercial, and government customers in Alaska. Inlet's team of professionals has the most Certified Lubrication Specialists (CLS), Oil Monitoring Analysts (OMA-1), and Machine Lubricant Analysts (MLA) in the state. Inlet Energy is based out of Anchorage with operations in Kenai, Fairbanks, and Prudhoe Bay. The inlet is also a major fuel distributor for the road system from the Kenai Peninsula to Fairbanks. 

Job Summary:

The Fuel Driver role at plays a meaningful role in ensuring safe and efficient fuel delivery to customers through both dock and/or truck operations. This position involves a combination of dock duties and/or truck driving responsibilities to meet customer fueling needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Dock Duties (if applicable):
  • Greet customers and provide safe fueling services for vessels, ensuring accurate fueling protocols are followed.
  • Prepare and deliver packaged products and oil lubes to customers, completing purchase order requests accurately.
  • Deploy boom as vital and maintain a clean and organized dock and yard.
  • Complete meter sheets, invoices, and maintain timely submission to the office.
  • Inspect hoses and equipment daily for damage, ensuring equipment is in optimal condition.
  • Driver Duties:
  • Safely deliver fuel to home heating customers, commercial customers, and other locations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
  • Complete invoices accurately and submit them to the office daily.
  • Communicate any unsafe conditions or concerns to supervisors to ensure safe delivery operations.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including checking vehicle components and fluids.
  • Other Duties:
  • Maintain the professional appearance of trucks and facilities by performing vital cleaning tasks.
  • Assist with various tasks related to inventory, warehouse assistance, and ground maintenance.
  • Participate in safety meetings, promptly report injuries, spills, and property damage, and identify and communicate potential job hazards.
Education and Experience: 
  • High school diploma or GED; 2 years of commercial driving experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.
  • If CDL with all endorsements was recently acquired, the company is willing to provide entry-level driver training experience.
  • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations: Valid Class B or A CDL with X endorsement
  • TWIC, Hazmat, Hazwoper can be acquired after hire.
  • Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Forklift Certificate can be acquired after hire.
