Job description

District School Improvement Team (DSIT) Member

Seeking: In total: 3 DSIT members per building AND one district representative from the areas of: special education, specials and mental health.

Positions Available:

  • Smith: One opening
  • Jr/Sr High: One opening

Position Term: 2-year commitment

Dates: August 11, 2026- June 30, 2028

Reports To: Building Principal

Required Qualifications:

  • Instructional staff or mental health professional
  • Two-year commitment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Interest and enthusiasm to grow as an instructional leader
  • Interest and enthusiasm to invest in the professional learning of Panther staff members
  • Interest and enthusiasm to collaborate in developing professional learning plans for both district and building

Performance Responsibilities:

  • Meet before and after all district professional development days at 4 pm to plan and evaluate professional learning.
  • Actively participate in all DSIT meetings.
  • Help plan and develop all PD days with DSIT.
  • Willingness to present or plan for professional learning, as needed.
  • Membership on the Building Leadership Team (BLT). BLTs will help plan any building level professional learning time allotted at District PD days and may help plan building staff meetings, which are additional times for staff to implement the District Improvement Plan.

Rate of Pay: Stipend, per SEA contract; and additional pay for agreed upon work outside the school day
