What You'll Be Doing

As a Mechanical Building Systems Engineer, you'll play an important role in designing high-quality HVAC and plumbing systems while collaborating with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, electrical engineers, and project managers.

Depending on your experience and interests, your responsibilities may include:

• Designing HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial buildings

• Mechanical system calculations and equipment selection

• Hydronic system design

• Revit-based building systems design

• Coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams

• Working directly with architects and owners

• Participating in project planning and design meetings

• Construction administration and field observations

• Mentoring junior team members as your career progresses

You'll have the opportunity to own projects from concept through construction while continuing to expand your technical expertise.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• 3-10+ years of experience designing HVAC and mechanical building systems

• Experience with HVAC system design, equipment selection, and mechanical calculations

• Hydronic system design experience (boilers, chillers, heating hot water, chilled water,
umps, and piping) is highly desirable

• Plumbing system design experience is a strong plus

• Proficiency with Revit (AutoCAD experience is also beneficial)

• Experience coordinating with architects and other engineering disciplines
