Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering & Product Architecture - Plymouth, MN - Remote
Daikin Applied is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Engineer - Systems Engineering & Product Architecture to lead a cross-functional team focused on designing, developing, and integrating cutting-edge products. This role requires a deep understanding of system engineering principles, product architecture, and cross-functional leadership. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions that align with business objectives.

Location: Plymouth, MN, Remote
Your Responsibilities:
  • Define system-level architecture, requirements, and specifications to meet business and customer needs
  • Ensure end-to-end system integration and performance optimization across hardware and software
  • Collaborate with product management to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Drive system design reviews, technical assessments, and risk evaluations
  • Maintain alignment between system architecture and product roadmap to ensure scalability and future-proofing
  • Implement best practices in system engineering, model-based design, and architectural frameworks
  • Work cross-functionally with software, hardware, and quality teams to ensure timely and successful product development

Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, product architecture, or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of system design, integration, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,400 - $225,700 (plus a 25% bonus) in Minnesota.
