Job description

Senior Service Technician

Alliance Security is a New York Tri-State leader providing Engineering, Installation and Service/Repair of high-end security systems and solutions for a premier portfolio of clientele. Alliance Security is currently looking to fill the position of Senior Service Technician. The role will perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities which consist of coordinating, planning, and installing video surveillance technologies – CCTV, and access control security technologies. This position will report to the Manager of Installation Services - Alliance Security.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Install or service new and existing security systems, including Web-Based and Cloud-Based Security and CCTV Systems
  • Test, adjust, and troubleshoot security systems and related equipment/hardware
  • Ability to test and troubleshoot low-voltage continuity issues
  • Resolve Firewall Configurations/Networking System Developments
  • Handle various emails, phone calls from other team members and the management team, work orders, paperwork, and perform job planning activities
  • Make recommendations for security system enhancements
  • Act as liaison between client and Manager of Installation Services
  • Assist the service department as needed
  • Excellent Customer Service and Time Management Skills
  • Update and manage CRM software to document installation/service activities

Minimum Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Technical Degree preferred
  • Minimum of two (3) years’ experience in the security technology industry
  • Strong knowledge of security concepts and technology platforms; Video, Access Control, Intercom, Intrusion, Visitor Management, turnstiles, and network devices
  • Successfully maintain certification training; AMAG, Genetec, LenelS2, Exacq, Brivo & Eagle Eye
  • Strong fundamentals of networking technologies and Information Technology principles
  • Flexible schedule and ability to work weekends and overtime
  • OSHA 40 Required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to drive a company-provided commercial vehicle. Will maintain vehicle at residence and commute to/from job locations

Salary: $80,000 - $85,000

Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
