The Residence Hall Building Services department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Building Services Technician. This posting is to develop a pool of candidates that can be used to fill vacancies as they arise in the future.
 
Morehead State University is located in Morehead, KY, a designated Kentucky Trail Town, nestled in the Daniel Boone National Forest, in close proximity to Cave Run Lake. This location provides opportunities for a wide range of outdoor recreation activities. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Building Services Technician is responsible for performing duties necessary for cleaning and maintaining assigned facilities. These duties constitute a combination of jobs which vary depending on the work schedule and areas assigned. The incumbent may be assigned to work in residence halls or education and general buildings on campus.
 
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma/GED equivalent or four years general work experience. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Good physical condition.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Custodial experience and additional education.

Organizational Relationships
The Building Services Technician is supervised directly by the Building Services Supervisor or the Building Services Superintendent. Work is reviewed on a regularly scheduled basis. This position interacts with faculty, staff, and students.
Physical Requirements
Heavy lifting and use of ladders required.
Working Conditions
Overtime may be required for special events or emergencies. A variety of locations, conditions, and work schedules dependent on assignment.
