About the Opportunity
This is an opportunity for a Property Manager to join a well-established New York City real estate owner/operator. This role will support the day-to-day operations of a residential property or portfolio, working closely with senior leadership across operations and asset management. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in multifamily operations, with the ability to manage tenant needs, building operations, and ongoing property initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

The team is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and focused on delivering a high level of service across its properties.
Role & Responsibilities
Property Operations
  • Support the day-to-day operations of a residential property or portfolio
  • Serve as a point of contact for tenants and assist with tenant relations and resident communication
  • Conduct move-in and move-out inspections
  • Perform regular property walkthroughs and identify operational or maintenance-related issues
  • Draft tenant correspondence and support ongoing resident communication

Building Operations & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with on-site staff, including maintenance, leasing, and administrative personnel
  • Assist with vendor scheduling, access coordination, and service oversight
  • Support preventative maintenance efforts and capital improvement projects
  • Review invoices, track payables, and assist with vendor-related documentation

Compliance & Asset Support
  • Track building compliance items and assist with required filings and documentation
  • Help resolve violations and monitor deadlines tied to city agencies and property operations
  • Oversee work order flow and follow through to completion with internal teams and vendors

Leasing & Financial Administration
  • Assist with lease renewals and vacancy turnover activity as needed
  • Support budget tracking, reporting, and review of property financial performance
  • Assist with operational reporting and portfolio-level administrative initiatives

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of residential property management experience, ideally within the NYC market
  • Strong understanding of multifamily operations, tenant relations, and building systems
  • Familiarity with NYC building compliance and local regulations preferred
  • Experience with lease renewals, turnover, or leasing support a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional communication skills and strong follow-up
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
  • Experience with property management software strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Terms
