Project Manager -ย Constructionย  -ย Job Descriptionย 

Position Overviewย 

Sitestreamย is seeking aย Project Managerย to coordinateย highway basedย construction support services related to municipal compliance-related construction. This role serves as the operational link between internal teams and third-party construction companies, ensuring work is properly scheduled, tracked, and completed in compliance with local requirements.ย 

Theย Project Managerย focuses on coordinating workflows, monitoring progress, andย maintainingย visibility across active projects rather than performing hands-on construction. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, operations-focused, and experienced in managing external contractors.ย 

Cross-Functional Construction Workflowsย 

Intake & Scopingย 

  • Project Managerย /ย Operations /ย Municipalityย 
  • Review municipal requirements,ย State requirements,ย notices, or inspection findingsย 
  • Translate requirements into construction scopes for third-party contractorsย 
  • Vendor Coordinationย 
  • ย Projectย Manager / Vendor Management / Procurementย 
  • Defining camera and associatedย hardwareย requirementsย ย 
  • Assign approved third-party contractorsย 
  • Aligning on schedules, scopes, and expectationsย 
  • Ensure Budgetary calculation

Permitting & Documentationย 

  • Project Managerย / Permitting / Admin / Compliance Opsย 
  • Track permits, inspections, and required documentationย 
  • Ensure records are complete for municipal complianceย including DOT approvalsย alongside subcontract expert supportย 

Execution & Trackingย 

  • Projectย Manager /ย Internal Operations / Senior Leadershipย ย 
  • Monitor progress, timelines, and issuesย 
  • Communicate status updates and escalationsย 
  • Ensure central Project trackingย solution is kept up to dateย 

Key Responsibilitiesย 

  • Management of the day-to-day operations including support outsourcing of infrastructure tasks, ensuring proper management of contractors, permits, equipment needs, and siteย logisticsย 
  • Review andย analyseย construction drawings to ensureย accurateย execution in the field, coordinating with third-party contractors to resolve discrepancies andย maintainย design intent.ย 
  • Serve as the technical and managerial point of contact for ITS construction, resolving field issues, constructability concerns, and design conflicts with third-party construction companiesย 
  • Track project timelines, deliverables, and approved budgetsย 
  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact between contractors,ย customersย and internal teamsย 
  • Ensure work aligns with local / state building requirements and compliance standardsย 
  • Identifyย and escalate operational issues, delays, or budget concernsย 
  • Maintainย accurateย project documentation, including state requirements, inspections, and close-out recordsย 
  • Conduct or coordinate site visits and ensure all physical deployment prerequisites are metย 
  • Provide regular project status updates to leadershipย ย 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience inย projectย management, project operations, or contractor coordinationย 
  • Proven experience managing third-party constructionย and approvalย vendorsย 
  • Strong understanding of construction workflows and scheduling, ideallyย in anย ITSย or highwaysย environmentย 
  • Experience with budget tracking and documentationย 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and follow-through skillsย ย 

Preferred Experienceย 

  • PMP-certified professional with proven experience applying formal project management methodologies to third-party construction oversightย 
  • Background in compliance-driven, municipal, or inspection-related constructionย 
  • Experience working with permitting offices or inspectorsย 
  • Experience dealing withย Road sideย infrastructure works including working with Electricย Utility companiesย 
  • Familiarity with project trackingย ย
