Job description

Senior Project Manager
Iron Fish is seeking a Senior Project Manager in the New England region. This position will oversee the daily management, coordination and oversight of multifamily unit renovation and capital improvement projects with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. This position must be able to operate independently, ensuring each project gets completed on time and on budget.
Direct Responsibility for the following activities:
  • Provide guidance, leadership and direction for the day-to-day operations of multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work closely with project managers to oversee ongoing capital projects and multifamily unit renovations while monitoring compliance with contract documents and other regulations
  • Maintain successful client relationships to support the company's growth and profitability
  • Responsible for overseeing the bidding process, bid comparisons, negotiations of contracts and purchase orders to ensure they are timely, in-scope, and compliant
  • Enforce and promote a safe jobsite per OSHA requirements and compliance with plans and specifications to mitigate risk
  • Create and manage project budgets throughout the life of the project
  • Monitor project completion to ensure adherence with plans and specifications as well as to company and owner objectives
  • Perform site visits and inspect progress of projects to ensure work is completed on time, within budget and with consistent quality
  • Assist with design tasks, including schematic drawings, construction drawings, specification sheets, and scope/price documents
  • Monitor and report on progress of the projects to ownership
  • Other duties as assigned by the leadership team

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 7-10 years construction management experience in multifamily construction/renovations
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field
  • Strong team leadership skills and ability to delegate effectively
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction codes and ordinances
  • Strong existing network of subcontractors and a proven business development track record
  • Skilled in executing detailed material take-offs and line-item budgets
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, meet deadlines and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Stellar record in the multifamily construction field
  • Proven project coordination skills for each stage of construction and renovation
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and costing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to confidently present to owners and clients
  • Perform functions efficiently and accurately with little direct supervision
  • Proficient in Red Team, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Adobe
  • Good driving record with ability to travel throughout the region
Compensation range $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience
