Job Description
Code 4 Private Security is seeking a dependable and professional Armed Security Officer to provide security services for a state agency located in an office building in Las Vegas, Nevada. This position involves both indoor and outdoor responsibilities, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and state property. Officers must maintain a strong security presence, monitor access, and respond promptly to any incidents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence inside and outside the building.

  • Sign in and verify scheduled visitors for the state agency.

  • Monitor all access points and ensure only authorized personnel enter the facility.

  • Conduct hourly interior and exterior patrols throughout the premises.

  • Escort staff to and from their vehicles when requested.

  • Respond quickly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, or disturbances.

  • Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.

  • Provide courteous and professional assistance to staff and visitors.

  • Follow all company and client security procedures at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid Nevada Armed Guard Card or ability to obtain prior to assignment.

  • Exposed Firearm Permit – required.

  • Law enforcement and/or military experience required.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Previous experience in office, state agency, or corporate security is preferred.
