About the Role
We are seeking a highly analytical and business-focused Senior Strategic Analytics Analyst to lead data-driven decision-making across the organization.
This role is responsible for driving deeper analysis, uncovering key drivers of performance, and delivering clear, actionable insights that influence business strategy. In addition to advanced analysis, this role includes structured storytelling and applied analytical modeling to better understand customer behavior, prioritize opportunities, and guide strategic direction.
You will work with large datasets, partner closely with senior stakeholders, and lead analyses that directly impact performance outcomes and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced Analytical Problem Solving:
    Lead complex analyses to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities that inform business strategy and decision-making.
  • Insight Development & Storytelling:
    Develop clear, structured narratives that explain what is happening, why it is happening, and what actions should be taken, tailored to various levels of stakeholders including senior leadership.
  • Business Partnership & Influence:
    Partner proactively with stakeholders to define key questions, shape analytical approaches, and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
  • Performance Analysis Ownership:
    Own ongoing analysis of performance across key areas (e.g., recapture, lead flow, conversion, revenue), providing proactive insights and recommendations.
  • Analytical Modeling & Prioritization:
    Apply and refine analytical techniques to better understand and prioritize business opportunities, including:
    • Identifying key drivers and relationships across variables
    • Building decision frameworks (e.g., decision trees, prioritization models)
    • Segmenting populations to guide targeting and strategic decisions
  • Project Leadership:
    Lead analytical workstreams from problem definition through delivery, ensuring quality, clarity, and business impact.
  • Ad Hoc & Strategic Analysis:
    Tackle complex, ambiguous business questions and deliver structured, actionable insights.
  • Data Exploration & Opportunity Identification:
    Identify new data sources and analytical approaches to enhance understanding of business performance.
  • Visualization & Executive Communication:
    Develop high-quality dashboards, presentations, and summaries that effectively communicate insights and recommendations.
  • Mentorship & Best Practices:
    Support and mentor junior analysts by promoting best practices in analysis, storytelling, and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, or a related field
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Experience working with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Sigma, or similar)
  • Proven experience leading structured analysis to identify trends, drivers, and insights
  • Strong ability to translate analysis into clear, actionable insights and narratives for senior leadership
  • Experience applying analytical and modeling techniques (e.g., segmentation, driver analysis, decision frameworks) to real business problems
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in mortgage, financial services, or related industries
  • Experience with statistical or modeling techniques (e.g., regression, classification approaches)
  • Experience leading cross-functional analytical initiatives
  • Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members
