Job description

URBN is hiring an Analyst, Marketing Mix with experience in Multi Touch Attribution (MTA) and Marketing Mix Models (MMM) to help better measure and optimize the effectiveness of our investments across the entire Marketing mix. This role sits on our central Marketing and Advanced Analytics team, and will directly support Brand and central Marketing and Analytics teams in reporting and translating of metrics and analytical trends into actionable insights and testing opportunities. You will be hands on with data every day, making connections between Marketing and business metrics, and between daily KPIs and more predictive Marketing effectiveness models across channels and campaigns.


  • Utilize data and analytics daily to improve Marketing effectiveness and efficiency against business goals for Customer Acquisition and Retention, and Demand for both Digital and Retail channels
  • Regularly conduct in-depth performance analyses to understand incremental channel lift, optimize investments, forecast performance, and inform strategic decisions
  • Be a super user of Marketing effectiveness models and metrics, including through Multi Touch Attribution (MTA) and Marketing Mix Models (MMM), and with Incrementality Testing
  • Utilize modeled data in conjunction with channel and vendor data and other internal datasets
  • Support in house Marketing and Media and Brand teams with regular reporting and overall Marketing mix opportunities across channels, budgets, and audiences
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards and reports to track and visualize performance trends
  • Utilize the data to identify, help design, and measure testing opportunities across channels of focus in conjunction with Media and Testing teams
  • Understand the role of Marketing channel and different campaign types in each Brand’s business
  • Collaborate regularly with stakeholders at Brand and within Technology and with our external vendors
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in Marketing and Media Analytics, including through AI automation, and proactively identify new tools and techniques to drive productivity and contribute to the evolution of URBN’s analytical best practice

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, or related experience
  • At minimum two (2) years of experience in a marketing analytics, ecommerce, retail, or agency environment
  • Strong aptitude for gathering and understanding quantitative data, with an interest in fashion, consumer, and technology trends
  • Hands on experience with MTA and MMM models and metrics
  • Hands on experience with SQL
  • Hands on experience reporting and analyzing a variety of Digital Marketing channels
  • Hands on experience with identifying and testing Marketing investment hypotheses; experience with Incrementality testing a plus
  • Ability to analyze and connect business and media metrics, translating into actionable channel and investment recommendations
  • Experience with a variety of Analytical tools, including Google Analytics; Look Studio dashboard building skills also preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to various stakeholders
  • Collaborative and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented organization
