Summary/Objective
As a representative for our company, you will be precise, and detail oriented in your work with a professional and customer-oriented attitude. Responsible for mixing, matching, and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touchups, and helping to coordinate large painting projects.
Essential Functions*
Preparation of surfaces to receive paint and other finishes and treatments. Interior and exterior wall painting and repair. Door and window frame painting. Wallpaper removal and wall board repair. Tape and mud drywall. Match paint and texture. Wood deck and furniture refinishing, painting, and staining. Ceiling grid and tile painting. Epoxy painting. Building paint log set up. Clean room painting. Able to patch and sand in a timely and efficient manner. Some knowledge or ability to learn brushing, rolling, taping, and topping. Able to safely use powered equipment such as paint sprayers and power washers. Able and willing to clean all equipment to include brushes, rollers, spray rigs, cup guns, texturing hoppers. Strong customer service skills. Must maintain a neat appearance. Continuously seeks opportunities to improve the customer experience. Follows safety and sanitation procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health and Risk Management Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills
Able to communicate with the team. Sense of urgency. Customer service. Have basic painting tools. Works well with others and follows guidelines. Provide proof of work status eligibility. Reliable transportation. Valid driver's license. Comply with company safety policies and procedures. Professional, precise and detail oriented.
Education and Work Experience
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Minimum 3+ years' experience.
Work Environment
The work environment includes the following elements and exposures:
Required PPE while performing tasks. Fast paced work environment. Constant exposure to change in temperatures and humidity. Frequently working at heights. Occasional slippery/uneven surfaces. Constant exposure to noise/vibration. Constant exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, paint, and noise.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Constant hand usage when handling painting equipment. Frequent hand usage when fingering small paint brushes and small hand tools. Constant repetitive and hand motion when using paint brushes, compressors, and other large equipment and, when getting into difficult to reach positions. Constant lifting and carrying objects up to 30 lbs. Frequent lifting and carrying objects more than 40 lbs.
Item weighing over 40 lbs. must be carried by two (2) people.
Constant reaching across surface, above shoulder and outward. Constant pushing and pulling objects up to 20 lbs. Frequent pushing and pulling objects up to 40 lbs.
Item weighing over 40 lbs. must be push/pull by two people or with appropriate machinery.
Good or correctable vision is required to safely perform all duties. Constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, balancing and beck usage-flexing.
